Principal Architects
Founded by a dynamic and agile team of creative minds, the firm is driven by a passion for contextual design and conscious building practices. Having gained hands-on experience through multiple college collaborations, the team has grown from a modest studio to a reckoning force, known for its human-centric approach and detail-driven execution.
Drawing its name from the word ‘Sharnam’ which translates to shelter, the firm aims to provide good design that offers shelter not just in the physical sense, but also emotionally, culturally, and environmentally.

Diversified Specialization
Specializing in a broad array of residential and commercial projects, Sharnam Architects has completed over 45 projects in the five years since its founding. Having created corporate offices, retail complexes, luxury experience centres, display kiosks, hospitality ventures, boutique stays, educational campuses, and industrial units, the team has expanded its expertise across diverse design needs. The firm has designed beautiful spaces for clients like ZOSTEL and Hostellers, demonstrating the trust it has built in a short span of time.
Handling such broad types of projects, the firm takes a structured and methodical approach that starts with a deep evaluation of the client’s ethos, workflow and aspirations. Adopting a consultative approach, the firm strives to build narratives, creatively maneuvering everything from space planning to façade designing strategies, customizing every element keeping the client, as well as the end-user in mind.
“Our commercial projects stand out for their emotive design language and operational intelligence. We focus on form with function: spaces that not only look good but perform exceptionally”, shares Ar. Prakhar Suhane, Principal Architect, Sharnam Architects.
Utilizing zoned layouts with flexible partitions, the team designs future-proof commercial interiors. It further leverages innovations such as building automated systems, modular partitions, and smart lighting to boost wellness and minimize operational costs. What sets the firm apart is its deep knowledge of codes encompassing everything from fire norms to NBC, ECBC, HUDA, YEIDA, and setback rules. A coordinated effort plays a pivotal role in enabling the firm to progress holistically. Use of tools BIM to coordinate between architecture, services, and structure enables the team to identify and mitigate lapses early.
Understanding client requirements, and the need for measurable ROI, the firm takes design excellence and budgeting hand-in hand. In addition to this, it also focuses on sustainability, addressing it through energy modelling, daylight simulations, and climate-responsive facades. Treating sustainability as a responsibility, Sharnam Architects’ design philosophy prioritizes traditional Indian principles, like passive cooling, spatial hierarchy, and use of local materials, while integrating them with modern technologies and aesthetics.
Some recent inclusions such as the use of brick jaali facades, terracotta roofs and stepped courtyards are reflective of this philosophy rooted in tradition yet reimagined through CNC fabrication and parametric tools with smart integrated BMS systems managing energy efficiency.
Committed to staying ahead, the team regularly undergoes workshops on updated building regulations and green certification requirements. From attending expos to tracking material innovations and testing new software, the team takes a holistic outlook to staying ahead. To maximize efficiency the firm actively employs AI tools and AR to improve designing processes. It further integrates trends like hybrid workplaces wellness architecture, and adaptive reuse, carefully choosing innovations that add value to the space or the people using it.

Future Roadmap
With a stunning performance thus far, Sharnam Architects promises a stellar future in the coming years, committed to meaningful growth. The firm aspires to expand into new regions and push the boundaries of design through innovation and intent. The team is actively developing a design-build vertical to offer seamless turnkey solutions, while continuing to refine its range of processes for better efficiency, sustainability, and client experience.
“We’ve been fortunate to build long-term relationships with clients who trust our vision. A special mention here is our ongoing collaboration with Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra. We’ve had the privilege of designing his private residence, guest house, and a personal museum in his hometown of Khandra”, adds Prakhar.
Taking this collaboration further, the firm is currently working on an agro-tourism resort for him that embodies sustainability and the local vernacular. Apart from this collaboration, the firm is working with multiple diverse hospitality businesses, and also exploring tier II and III cities that present immense opportunities for development.
Simultaneously, the team of adventurers is exploring some unique ventures including a sustainably designed agro-tourism resort in Haryana, a small but ultra-luxury pan parlour that redefines perception, and a high-end jewellery showroom that combines traditional elegance with modern flair. Sharnam Architects is just beginning its journey, envisioning a series of revolutionary projects that redefine contemporary architecture.
