Graphic Era Institute of Medical Science – Dehradun

Designed by Renascent Consultants, the Graphic Era Institute of Medical Science in Uttarakhand exemplifies contemporary healthcare architecture rooted in sustainability and user-centric design. Completed in October 2023, this 800-bed super-specialty hospital and 150-seat medical college span 1.5 million square feet, establishing a world-class hub for healthcare and medical education.

The project emphasizes local materials, energy efficiency, and biophilic design, creating healing spaces infused with natural light, open layouts, and calming environments that enhance patient well-being. Its design ensures operational efficiency, accessibility, and a seamless integration of clinical and educational functions.

Despite challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, the project was delivered on schedule. Designed for IGBC Gold certification, Graphic Era Hospital stands as a model of sustainable, patient-focused healthcare infrastructure that redefines the standards of medical design in India.
