While this is indeed a very welcome sign from the country's overall growth perspective, setting-up healthcare infrastructure and facilities demands a deep understanding of the various intricacies that are involved in the healthcare delivery process. Thus, the demand for efficient and reliable healthcare architecture services is at an all-time high in recent times.

Amidst such encouraging market conditions, one company that stands-out though its profound subject matter expertise and industry experience is Grouparc Architects and Interior Designers. Based in Mumbai, Grouparc is the brainchild of Neitin J Kshhirsagar (Founder & Principal Architect) who founded the company in 1996 with a vision to offer innovative solutions that will become industry benchmarks in terms of architecture and interior design. Today, with the combination of the founder’s decades of industry experience and his children – Rajjas Kshirsaagar and Aishwarya Kshirsagar’s young yet creative mindset, the firm has earned widespread recognition among the real estate and design fraternity for its intricately planning and timeless designs.

The Healthcare Architecture Expert

As a full-fledged real estate and design firm, Grouparc offers services mainly across three areas – Architectural Design, Luxury Interior Design, and Project Management. Some of the major verticals that it caters to include luxury private residential homes, residential redevelopment buildings, retail outlets, commercial spaces, logistic & industrial parks, hotels, and healthcare projects. However, healthcare architecture design has been one of the company’s primary forte and flagship area. Well-aware of the critical importance of efficient space planning in any healthcare setup, Grouparc follows a research-driven approach to its overall design philosophy by ensuring that every design related decision is made with utmost clarity about the intent and context behind it.

As a client-centric organization, Grouparc has an elaborate customer engagement process in place, where it first gets a clear understanding of the clients’ vision,
operation and aspirations. Based on the gathered insights, the company’s highly experienced in-house design and services team brainstorm together and collaboratively comes-up with functional design layouts and narratives. The end result – a seamless blend of practicality, durability, aesthetics, timeless design, and every emotion which truly reflect the client’s intent.

“One of the primary USPs that has helped us gain a competitive edge in the market is our ability to cater to every client requirement under one roof. Since the interior designing is also done by us for most of the architecture design projects that we receive, our team consults the clients on both the fronts and recommends a solution that not only satiates the customer’s requirements, but is also a perfect symphony between architecture and interior design. This greatly enhances the quality of work, cuts-down costs and reduces overall project delivery timelines”, says Rajjas Kshirsaagar, Director, Grouparc.

Every design strategy that the company formulates is flexible to easily include any new changes that might be required to be implemented in the future, along with scope for hassle-free expansion

Keeping it Simple, Yet Functional

In terms of any healthcare project, functionality and adaptability must always remain the core pillars of the design strategy. To achieve this, Grouparc always keeps its designs simple and adeptly plans the building layout in such a way that supports the overall efficiency & functionality of the building, maintains hassle-free circulation throughout the healthcare facility, and most importantly, facilitates utmost comfort to the patients. Going a step further, every design strategy that the company comes-up with is formulated to easily include any new changes that might be required to be implemented in the future, along with scope for hassle-free expansion as well.

“One of our recent clients is a super speciality hospital with many complex medical functions in Pandharpur (Maharashtra), which has a very hot/dry climate. Since its area was very compact, everything was clearly segregated through proper planning and zoning of the space to ensure efficient circulation across the hospital. Also, by keeping the windows North/South facing, we’ve restricted direct sunlight from entering the hospital premise and ensured that the temperature within the building remains 30-32o Celsius although it was above 40o outside. Further, the dummy facade that we put in place to conceal pipes, toilets and ACs provides great insulation against the climatic conditions and will even reduce the air conditioning costs by 40-50 percent - all made possible through correct orientation of windows and building design!”, proudly asserts Rajjas.

Start-studded Business Journey

Till date, Grouparc has successfully delivered more than 600 diverse projects spanning a total area of over 51 lakh sq. ft. for 150+ clients. Owing to such exceptional track record, the company has also received numerous recognitions – the recent one being the ‘Best Interior Design Firm in Mumbai’ by Archello. Going forward, Grouparc is excited about the numerous projects that are in its pipeline and aspires to set new industry benchmarks through its industrial park project in Thane that is expected to be completed in the near future.
